This weapon class released in Splatoon 2 is the only weapon class with a defensive element. They shoot pellets in a shotgun-like spread, and can even launch the defensive element forwards! Well, except for one of them.
Brellas
A special weapon at the core of nearly every competitive Splatoon team that increases your teammates stats for a short duration. Most notably used on the vanilla Snipewriter.

As HiTide's resident weapon mechanic and explosives specialist, they're a lightning fast shortstop with an attitude, rocking their signature bandana and wielding their custom made Afterburner Roller.

This weapon class released late into Splatoon 1 includes weapons whose shots explode midair and deal AOE damage!
Blasters
This sub weapon can be tossed a short distance and deploys when it touches the ground, providing defensive cover that you can shoot through for a short amount of time.
Splash Wall
One of the HiTide members' little sibling, who is named after the fastest shark in the sea and ends up becoming slightly shark themselves.

Forge, Takoroka, Embrz
These semi-transparent, jiggly creatures can be seen around the city squares and battle maps of all three games. All of the clothing shops are also owned by a creature of this type!
Jellies / Jellyfish
This sword-like weapon is based on a toothbrush in appearance and has the longest dash among non-dualies in the game.
Decavitator
This wacky explosive has to be charged up to reach full power- but if you're fine risking carpel tunnel, you can charge is faster by moving and jumping around to shake it!
Fizzy Bomb
The veteran captain of the Squidbeak Troop and successor to Captain Cuttlefish. Also Moxie's love interest!
Ace [Agent 3]
Who is my favorite idol of the Now or Never Seven? (the Squid Sisters, Off the Hook, and Deep Cut)
Frye
The name of the third King Salmonid, who emerges out of the ground to chomp up their victims like Jaws!
Megalodontia
This two-mode weapon and all of its alternate kits are unlocked at level 30, the last level that unlocks new weapons. The item the weapon is based on is filled with ink in real life too!
Ballpoint Splatling
This special weapon shoots bottle rockets. No really, bottles that shoot out like rockets to hit enemies at any range!
Tenta Missiles
A member of HiTide and Rush's best friend since the start, who is the weapon designer to Moxie's weapon building and ends up babysitting Rush's little sibling most of the time.
Cola
The first slosher your partner has ever mained, and their first 4-starred weapon!
Tri-Slosher Nouveau
The "true" final boss of Splatoon 2: Octo Expansion, and by extension the hardest boss in the entirety of the franchise by a wide margin.
Inner Agent 3
Any dualies can dodge roll, but these guys can roll then slide out of theirs! Originally a shooter weapon in Splatoon 1, they were given a fresh coat of red paint and split in half to become the only slide-capable dualies in the game.
Dualie Squelchers
Not only is it one of two non-throwable sub weapons, it's the only sub weapon that's invisible to the enemies until they get too close.
Ink Mine
Rush's love interest, a talented singer and hacker, member of HiTide. Moxie's best friend since the underground, they escaped with Moxie during the events of Octo Expansion.
Orca
