Two teams of 6 players each, a ball is hit and played over the net.
volleyball
You need a special board and two sets of pieces (white and black), one for yourself, the other for your opponent. You usually play sitting at a desk and you don´t have to wear sports clothes.
chess /playing chess
You move under the water surface - protecting your eyes with goggles - and breathe through a special tube.
snorkelling / diving
A winter sport, a person glides down the snow-covered hill using special equipment, including two poles to control the speed.
A helmet (or at least a woolen cap/hat), proper outfit, goggles and gloves are recommended.
skiing /downhill skiing
It involves ascending peaks and navigating through rugged terrain using a combination of physical fitness, technical skills, and equipment such as ropes, harnesses. The aim is to reach the highest peak of a mountain.
mountaineering /mountain climbing
Two teams of five players try to make the ball go through the hoop (basket) fixed cca 3 metres above the floor (ground).
basketball
You have got a bow and a set of arrows which you shoot at a target. As a sport it´s fun but in the past the shooting skills were used in battles/wars.
archery
This is a team sport played in a swimming pool between two teams of seven players each. The objective is to score goals by throwing a ball into the opponent's goal.
water polo
Played on a large outdoor course, this sport involves hitting a small ball with clubs into a series of holes in as few strokes as possible.
Popular mainly with business people, but the "mini" version even with children and teenagers.
golf
Freefall from aircraft, parachute landing.
skydiving
A bat-and-ball sport played between two teams of nine players each. The key words: the field, 4 bases, batting, inning, catching, running, protective pads, mitts/ gloves ... and the Cannibals.
baseball
This is a modern Japanese martial art and a combat sport in which two competitors use special grappling techniques to get the opponent on their back and immobilize them.
In the Czech Republic, Lukáš Krpálek is a well-known representative.
judo
This is an activity of travelling in a small, light, narrow boat, pointed at both ends. In order to move, you use paddles.
For some people, kayaking is similar, but there are a few differences.
canoeing
This is an activity that involves moving rapidly and efficiently through an obstacle course (in town or nature) using only the abilities of the human body.
A person runs, jumps, climbs, squats, balances...and must be pretty nimble.
parkour
High-speed, open-wheel cars. Aerodynamic design, powerful engines. Races up to 300 km/h (186 mph). Glitz and glamour.
