Staleness: An unexpected and long-term loss of physical performance that cannot be attributed to factors such as illness or injury (some symptoms: loss of appetite, depression, increased perceptions of effort)

Burnout: A cognitive withdrawal… noted by a reduced sense of accomplishment, noticeably lowered interest in one’s sport, and physical/psychological exhaustion. Chronic stress is a likely player here…
