Context clues help you to determine a words meaning. Read around the word to help figure out what the word means.

Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson is a famous actor and former wrester. He was born in California in1972. He moved around with his family as a child, living in New Zealand, Connecticut, Hawaii, and Pennsylvania. He took a full scholarship to the University of Miami to play football, and in 1991, his team won the national championship. He later became a famous professional wrester. His first acting role was on “That 70’s Show” in 1999.

Narwhals are unique sea creatures. They are most well known for the large tusk on their forehead. Narwhals have been called “the unicorns of the sea” because of this tusk, which looks like a horn. They are actually a medium sized species of whale, closely related to the beluga whale. They live in arctic waters near Canada and Greenland. They do not have a dorsal fin. Narwhals are white and grey in color.

Description. They are describing what a Narwhal looks like. It has a horn, its related to other animals, where it lives, and more.

Two years later, she enrolled in Harvard Law School, where she was one of few women. She worked as a lawyer and judge for many years before being nominated for the Supreme Court in 1993.
