With roots in the soil, I rise to the sky,
Petals unfold, as the bees fly by.
I paint the fields in hues of delight,
What am I, blooming in the soft spring light?
Wildflowers
I rise with the sun, make the mornings bright,
I’m the golden touch, turning dark into light.
What am I that brings a warming fling,
As I herald the bloom of spring?
Sunlight
I flutter by on wings so bright,
I visit flowers, a lovely sight.
In gardens and meadows, I do sing,
Who am I, brought by the spring?
Butterfly
I’m a tiny spot, red with black dots,
In gardens and fields, I like the spots. Who am I?
I sing my song at the break of dawn, In springtime mornings, I greet the morn. Who am I?
Robin
I rain down soft on thirsty ground,
In spring’s embrace, I dance around.
I fill the streams, I quench the roots,
What am I, that makes things shoot?
Rain
I leap in fields with joy so bright,
My fur is soft, my tail’s a sight.
In springtime grass, I like to spring,
Who am I, full of bounce and zing?
Rabbit
I stretch and grow up toward the sun,
My petals open, one by one.
In spring I’m seen, I’m tall and proud,
What am I, who wears a crown?
Sunflower
I’m small and I hop, in the ponds I do sing,
My voice is quite loud, I announce it’s spring.
What am I, with a croak and a spring?
Frog
I wear a green coat, with a hat that’s red,
I grow in the garden, a sweet treat ahead.
Who am I, ripe for spring delight?
Strawberry
I pop up in gardens, a burst of bright hue,
I’m one of the first to say, “Springtime is due!”
Who am I, with petals that bring?
Tulip
I’m yellow and bright, I grow by the bunch,
Kids pick me for Mom, a flower with a punch.
What am I, that makes springtime sing?
Dandelion
I’m light as a feather, but the strongest trees shake,
I make kites soar high and waves on the lake.
What am I, with a breeze that can swing?
Wind
I buzz all around, from flower to flower,
I make honey so sweet, hour by hour.
What am I, busy in the spring?
Bee
I jump around happily, my feet never touch the ground, With my long ears flopping, I make no sound.
Who am I, hopping as if I’m on a spring?
Bunny
I’m round and small, I sprout with rain,
In gardens and fields, I make my claim.
I grow in rows, I’m green and lean,
What am I, fresh and seen in spring?
Pea Flower
I’m furry and soft, with a nose that’s pink,
I’m the first sign of spring, don’t you think?
Who am I, with a wiggle and spring?
Lamb
I peep from nests up in the trees,
I chirp and sing with every breeze.
In springtime skies, I stretch my wings,
Who am I, that the season brings?
Baby Bird
I melt the snow, make rivers ring,
I paint the world in vibrant spring.
Flowers bloom, and robins sing,
Which season brings this lively fling?
Spring
I travel far without a wing,
Yet birds will chase me while I sing.
I glide on the breeze, both near and wide,
What am I, floating by your side
Kite
I hide my face when the skies are clear,
But after rain, I do appear.
Colors bright in arches wide,
What am I, in the sky I glide?
Rainbow
I stretch and grow as dawn awakes,
In fields of green, my roots I take.
Once winter’s chill begins to fade,
Who am I, blooming unafraid?
Flower/Plant
I’m born at night, but love the sun,
With rays of gold, I dance and run.
In spring, I’m found in every place,
What am I with a smiling face?
Daffodil
I whisper softly in fields of green,
I bring the warmth where the cold has been.
Though I am mild, my power’s strong,
What am I, as I move along?
Spring Breeze
I crack the shell without a hand,
And bring new life across the land.
I’m tiny but I start anew,
What am I, that’s born to you?
