This Final Fantasy was marketed as an RPG for beginners. Didn’t do well because most people wanted an epic like FF4 which came out a year before. Great soundtrack though

This fighter is known for having no health bars or time limits because battles have the possibility of ending in one hit.

This installment in the SaGa series was poorly received in the west because of its confusing board game roulete system.

Follow the Valkyrie Lenneth as she travels collecting the souls of slain heroes to serve as her einherjar for the forthcoming Ragnarok. Released west in 2000 for the PS1, ported to PSP in 2006. Thats why I'm counting it as a handheld game.
Valkyrie Profile Lenneth
This game in the Fabula Nova Chrystallis subseries was originally meant for release on mobile phones as Final Fantasy Agito XIII. The mobile release was canceled and released in Japan on PSP as in 2011. This game wouldn't see release internationally until 2015 on HD consoles and Steam.
