St. John Bosco Parish's stained glass window was established through a dream that emerged twice in our parish. These were the two priests that dreamed of the nurturing of the faith of all who entered the parish.

Long before the parish had the building we stand on, we were a community. This is the year this community was established.

When was 1978?

'Archbishop Joseph MacNeil officially established the St. John Bosco parish community on September 1, 1978. A house was purchased to provide meeting rooms and offices. For several years, weekday Masses were celebrated in the basement. Sunday Masses were celebrated at St. Elizabeth Seton School.Fr. Harold’s main objective was “to form the parish community into a family.”'

Who is St. Dominic Savio? 

"Dominic’s holiness had a positive impact on everyone around him. One day at the school, two friends began arguing, throwing stones at each other. Smaller than them, he couldn’t break them up. They resolved to solve their problem another day with a fight. At that time, Dominic showed up and stood in-between them, holding up a crucifix. The fighters gave up, ashamed, and Dominic convinced them to go to confession. This episode earned him the patronage of juvenile delinquents."
