Can I babysit my students?

The Day School prohibits any member of the faculty, staff, and administration from providing babysitting or other childcare services to current Day School students or their families.

How frequently are formal evaluations conducted for faculty members?

All faculty members will be evaluated annually by their respective Division Head. These evaluations are completed on a timeline established by the Division Head with all evaluations completed by the end of the academic year.

Can you share what is discussed at faculty meetings with outside members?

To encourage the kind of open discussion that enables us to be helpful to students and to the school, all matters discussed in faculty meetings and conferences must be treated as confidential information

How do I get a sub if I become sick overnight?

When an employee is sick or otherwise unable to be at school because of a family emergency, s/he must inform the Head of Nursery School (Nursery and PK), the Lower School Administrative Coordinator (Kindergarten to Grade 5), the MacArthur Campus Receptionist (Grades 6-8), or the appropriate Department Head to ensure the necessary coverage. If an employee plans to be away, the employee must seek the approval of the Head of School or appropriate Department Head by submitting a time-off request through Paycom.

When can you begin receiving Parent's Association Summer Grants?

The applicant must have been a full- or part-time member of the faculty and staff for at least two years (second year in process) to be eligible for a grant.
