There is no one, no entity or higher form that she can appeal to, or be reconciled with, or that can forgive There is nothing outside her. In her imagination she has set the limits and the terms. No atonement for God, or novelists, even if they are atheists. It was always an impossible task, and that was precisely the point. The attempt was all.

Explain the score this SAQ received and the reason why. The tone in “The Eulogy of Malcolm X” and “Do Not Stand By My Grave and Weep” are similar by both having a somber background (to the story), but allowing themselves to think optimistic. The quote, “I am the soft stars that shine at night. Do not cry at my grave” and “Is where he worked, struggled…fought his home of homes…his heart was and his people are, shows that both of the passages are looking at the brighter side of a sad event. In conclusion, both passages are expressing how they want their community or family to look at this moment for their good.
What is a 3? The conclusion neatly ties together both passages, which the writer shows she knows deeply with an elaborate connection, and explains in a non-repetitive way. Also, quotes are well-chosen and interwoven beautifully. This boosts it to a 3.
