You are facilitating challenges with a group of campers and you finish all of your planned programming. You still have 15 minutes until the lunch bell.
What are group games, grounding activities, time-fillers, or silly songs?
A camper on the boardwalk has a broken leg. Staffer Joe has done something wrong when addressing their needs. The camper now is in the lodge waiting for EMS.
What is never move an injured camper?
Usually done in the office or over the walkies. Might result in the answer, "Go take a break!" or "Please bring these napkins to the washer"
What is checking in?
It happens after options have been chosen. Staff members should remain in place until it is confirmed.

Toilet paper, sponges, can liners, soap, bleach, gloves
What is in a bathroom caddy?
A camper tells you they have a secret about their home life they want to tell you. It is sensitive in nature.
What is Mandated Reporting?
Middler Spirit has just ended. A camper you were friendly with that week has requested to follow you on Instagram. You respond to all of their stories saying "That's SO Pilgrimlodgical!" You have done something wrong.
What is never have a relationship with a camper outside of camp without the knowledge of their adult?
Not at the staff table, not in the kitchen window, not during option time, not while supervising campers, only if useful for programming or emergency.

Entering 4th-9th grade: 1 counselor to 8 campers
Entering 10th-12th grade (+): 1 counselor to 10 campers.
What are proper ratios?
Can not be left open or accessible with minors around.
What are chemicals?
A camper signs up to go on a nature hike for Option Time. They then decide they want to go swimming, and then go and make crafts in the Lodge.
What is campers must stay at only one Option?
(with the exception of boaters who switch to swimming)
Always bring in a second adult, move to a place where you can be seen, travel in groups with more than one camper
What is never be alone with a camper?
11pm unless otherwise requested and communicated.
What is curfew?
A camper needs to go to their cabin/nurse/other location outside of programming

Wipe surfaces, take out the trash, clean the grill, break down cardboard, turn off warmer/ovens, sweep, clean Quito bathroms, do laundry, do the dishes
What is Kitchen Close?
A cabin of campers has an argument that they are unable to solve. Their counselor asks the director if they can mediate a supportive conversation.
What is a restorative circle?
Intentional or Unintentional. Exclusive and harmful to community.
What are spirit breaking relationships?
Begins Sunday and ends on the next week's Saturday. Lasts for two weeks. Daily or Hourly.
What is a pay period?
A thunderstorm begins 30 mins before Option Time is scheduled to end. Campers are in boats, on the trails, doing arts and crafts, and in the lodge.

Toxic gases called chloramines are produced. Can cause fainting, coughing, or nausea.
