Bolt
Used when a branch is required from a main run of piping.
Tee
Various designs used to attach pivot points of different linkages.
Linkage clips
Formulated to provide lubrication to most areas of the vehicle where metal components are designed to slide or rotate at low pressure.
General Purpose (GP) Grease
Used to attach a U-shaped, adjustable yoke called a clevis.
Clevis pin
Inserted into a threaded hole and tightened or loosened by applying torque.
Cap Screw
Used to allow for quick and easy assembly and disassembly of piping systems.
Unions
Fit into a groove in a shaft or inside bores and housings to locate, hold, lock and retain a bearing, gear or other part on the shaft.
Spring Rings (Retaining Rings)
The size of grit particles will determine the coarseness or aggressiveness.
Sandpaper
Made of spring steel and slightly oversize, with appropriate tension to fit tightly in the hole.
Hollow pin
The outer edge of the inclined portion of the thread.
Crest
Used to reduce pipe sizes, available in face and hex design.
Bushings
Used to retain a hub, collar, gear or sleeve in position on a shaft.
Set screws
Used on fasteners to prevent vibration loosening.

Measured by it's outside diameter and wall thickness depending on type.
Tubing
The inner valley area between each thread.
Root
Create a stronger connection than soldered or compression fittings.
Flare fittings
Used in applications such as small pulleys, gears or stub ends for drive shafts.
Woodruff (halfmoon) keys
Designed primarily to attach rubber seals firmly around doors, trunk lids and where rubber needs to be secured.
Weatherstrip adhesive
Fitting is inserted into hose and clamped.
Barbed fitting for hose
Measurement across root to root.
Minor diameter
Not interchangeable or used for high pressure applications.
Compression fittings
Used to keep other fasteners in place.
Cotter pins
Does not conduct electricity, can be used at any electrical connection to prevent corrosion and prevent voltage leakage around electrical connections.
Dielectric Silicone Grease
Same function as cotter pins, also known as spring locking pin.
