We're running G02 in local control for an exercise run it's currently at idle speed and we're preparing to raise speed. The welds on the steam header in containment fail which causes SI to actuate. Simultaneously, an electrical fault occurs on the feeder breaker for 2A05 from 2A03.

G01, G03, G04 are running unloaded

All safeguards power is fine except Unit 2 "A" train safeguards has left the chat.

While doing a walkdown of the boards you notice an amber light lit within the RHR system.

The amber light indicates that the valve is 43% shut.

Taking the switch to close (from full open) will auto set the valve to 43% open, then the valve becomes a demand valve from that position to full shut. Feature is to limit flow for pump runout during piggyback operation with SI & CS

Auto start on  >10psi suction pressure and < 600rpm


With all 4 lift oil pumps running and > 600psi discharge causes a red light on C03.
