Describe how you would practice deep breathing

In through the nose and out through the mouth (blowing hot soup). Count to approximately 4 with each breathe in/out. Deep breathing comes from the belly and not the chest.

When you tighten and target specific muscles in the body, hold, and then release. It can be done with a visualization exercise too.
