Personal safety, two injured people is worse than one. Going into a burning building puts the firefighter's lives in danger who have to go after you

If you can only either call 911 or pull a fire alarm in the case of a fire, which should you do?
Pull the fire alarm
How will you be notified of an active shooter on campus?
Through your phone number you gave the school (the EMS system). If that was someone else's number make sure to change that.
When will campus safety open dorm rooms for students who are locked out?
From 12am to 8am!
When should you call the 911 emergency line and not campus safety?
Any life threatening injury or ongoing criminal activity.

Memorial and Ambassador: Soccer field next to the exterior of the dorms.

Lock it

Why is your personal safety primary in the case of an incident?
Compromising your personal safety would lead to another incident and put others in danger in order to help you.

Apply the four steps of incident response to the following scenario: You walk into a dorm room and find that a bed has caught on fire from an electrical issue.
Get safe: get out of the room
Get help: Call 911 or pull a pull station
Help if you can: If you are able to, use a fire extinguisher, if the fire is too big don't try.
Help it not happen again: Stay around to tell someone that it was an electrical issue.
