What is the OSA and what is LBCC's commitment to that organization?
The Oregon Student Association (OSA) is a statewide, student-led advocacy and organizing non-profit to represent, serve, and protect the collective interests of students in postsecondary education in Oregon. LBCC pays dues to the OSA, the SLC President sits on the OSA board of directors, and the Legislative Director is expected to represent LBCC at monthly meetings.

What are three Student Council Committee and their purposes?
Student Judiciary Board: oversee ASLBCC elections, set uniform spending limits on all candidates for elected offices, convict on bill of impeachment brought forward by petition. Council of Clubs: appoint SLC members to College Committees, encourage and expand student participation in clubs, steward club allocated student fee money. Events and HYPE Taskforce: Create and hold events for student body Ad hoc committees: for whatever is needed at that moment. Reserve Board: establish segregated fee contingency level, dispense segregated fees Volunteer Caucus Space: organize, recruit, and support student volunteers on their goals and events.
