All students must order their official transcript through Parchment. If they do not have a Workday login, there is a direct link to Parchment on our website: www.ntc.edu/transcripts

How do students request an unofficial credit evaluation?
We have a form for that too :) There is a link to the form on the Transfer To NTC page on the website. Students are able to upload their unofficial transcripts to the form and it comes right to the Student Records email.

Student email address was removed from directory information a few years ago when their email address became part of their login.
What does Student Records need in order to evaluate international transcripts?
We require international transcripts be assessed by a certified credential evaluator such as Educational Credential Evaluators or World Education Services. Once the transcripts have been assessed, the official course-by-course evaluation report should be sent to Student Records.
A student is currently enrolled in a course they would like to test-out of. After what date can they no longer test-out of the course?
We ask that students allow 6-8 weeks from grading day (excluding holidays and breaks) to receive their diplomas in the mail. While they are waiting, we also encourage students to verify that their mailing address is correct in Workday and that their balance is paid in full.
What is the process if a student wants to audit a course?
Guess what - we have a form for that! Students can access the form on our website. Once the instructor has signed the form, it is returned to Student Records for processing.
A student's mom calls and wants to know if her son passed his Fall 2024 courses? She is able to provide his student ID number, his DOB and last four of his SSN. She also paid his Fall 2024 tuition. Should you provide her with the requested information?
Yes - IF there is a release on file.
A student is no longer able to request their high school transcript. They submitted to NTC previously and would like a copy to provide to their new school. Can we provide them with a copy?
No - it is not our record to release to the student. If we were to provide a copy and it became altered, NTC could be held liable.
How much does it cost to test-out of a course?
Tests are $50.
Skills demonstrations, portfolios or a combination of test/skill demo are $90.
College 101 is free!
Due to the generosity of the NTC Foundation, the cost of these test-out options is covered through a scholarship for all military veterans.
"I still have one course to complete this summer. Am I able to still graduate?"
Students who are within 6 credits of program completion are able to participate in the ceremony. However, their transcript will not be updated to show degree completion and their diploma will not be mailed until they have completed all requirements.
You are meeting with a student and they indicated that they previously attended NTC, but you can't find them in Workday. What are the next steps?
The student is likely a historical student in Workday. The student will need to complete a new application. Once their application is processed, Student Records will be able to combine their historical record with their active record.
