Fully put them away (DONT GIVE THEM TO AN INSTRUCTOR TO PUT AWAY)

What should you do if you experience bullying or harassment at Beacons?
Report it to an instructor, front desk admin, director, etc.
When is it okay to use personal phones at Beacons?
Outside the workshop- during outings or lunch time
What bathrooms do you use as a trainee??
The trainee lounge bathrooms!!! (unless you are cleared to use the ada bathrooms)
How do we now start our workshop for Studio?
WARM-UP ART! make a sketch from the prompt written on the whiteboard or create your own prompt

When is screaming/ yelling at Beacons acceptable?
NEVER! it disrupts workshops & could trigger seizures.
Attendance Policy: what is the new clock in procedure & what do you do if you know you will be missing a Studio Day?
Instructors will clock you in. If you know you will be absent, please let Brooke or Fae know or send an email to Studio.
Scenario: It is 2 pm (end of studio time), and you have tons of materials on your desk. Irene comes in to say your ride is here. What do you do?
CLEAN UP YOUR SPACE!!!! Put away your iPad, return things to the free art cabinet, clean your paintbrush, etc. Make sure you give yourself enough time to clean up everything at the end of the day
What is the purpose of the seating arrangement?
Creates a space for collaboration and allows trainees to get more support (instructors can teach at a small group level)

What does it look like to respect other people & their property?
DO NOT touch or take things without permission. Along with respecting each others boundaries.
How do you advocate for extra help from an instructor during workshop?
Make sure you are in close proximity to an instructor when asking for help. Please wait for our full attention before explaining what you need help with.
Scenario: Project is collaging, which requires a lot of cutting of paper that gets messy fast. What are 2 ways you can clean up after yourself?
- Grab a broom, sweep up your mess
- Throw away scraps in trash/ recycle
- Collect bigger scraps to be reused
- Ask a peer to help you clean up!
How is the Cozy Corner used?
To wind down while feeling overwhelmed, needing space, quiet area, or just not feeling well.
regular/ geometric: Mathematical shapes you can define like circles, squares, triangle, etc.

What is "inappropriate conduct"? What steps do you do if you experience it?
Inappropriate conduct: behavior that violates Beacons/ workplace norms
REPORT IT! to your instructors, directors, admin staff, etc.

1. wipe excess paint off
2. rinse in a cup of water
3. use the paintbrush mat to clean your brush
4. dry off your brush
5. put your gross water in a dirty water bucket

Complete a study (with media you intend to use for your final product) and make an elevator pitch (a verbal proposal) to Brooke, Fae, and Jinx
