Obon (お盆 )
A place with many books, air conditioning, and sometimes drinks. Its a quiet place to relax and read.
The Library
This food is long and thin. It's often eaten cold in the summer with a light dipping sauce. Sometimes it comes to you in a water slide.
Somen
This place is full of people, vendors, food, and music. Sometimes you can see fireworks and dance performances.
Festivals (masturi)
This season is famous for gathering together with family. Many people have vacations and eat a big meal together to celebrate the new year.
Winter
Teacher give a lot of it. We take it home and spend lots of time doing it. It's not fun. Some kids don't finish it.
Homework
These are a little dangerous. They are bright and colorful. Usually we play with these at night. You need some fire to make them shine!
Fireworks (hanabi)
This food is often big. The shape is round until it is cut. Its red and sweet inside. Just be careful not to eat the black seeds because one will grow inside of you.
Watermelon
This place lets us relax. We can eat, play, and study there. We spend most of our time there.
