This so called tan is common in the Midwest, characterized by very red skin on the arms, face, neck and the rest of the body remaining untouched. Also common in sailors, soldiers and golfers.

People with these colored eyes are more at risk from sun damage than those with darker colored eyes, such as brown.

On a hot day, it's by far the best place you can be to avoid getting too hot. As long as it's air-conditioned of course.

It can occur even on the eyeballs, though it's much more well known on the skin. To keep this from happening, wear dark colored sunglasses and limit exposure.
