Students may apply for a meal plan on Interdependence with the treatment team. Students submit meal plans to medical by 9 am on Wednesdays for review. They receive a $65 budget per week and must shop on the approved menu only. NO FOOD IS TO BE SHARED EVER.

A student reports that they want to kill themself. What do you do?

Be curious about the ideations. Ask about intent & plan. Report immediately to a supervisor who will determine whether primary therapist & residential manager/on call therapist (after 5pm) are notified. Mentor communicates a specific threat, level of urge, what proceeded the event, level of intent, and what supports they have attempted to use/what they are asking for. The student stays within arms reach until a direction is given by the therapist or supervising staff.

Conduct 15-minute checks. Notify the Supervisor who has the team will the house. The Supervisor notifies on-call. Mentors should do their best to communicate the direction of travel and clothing description of the student. Use a Sunrise vehicle to retrieve the student. HIPPA goes out the window during a search.

False: A house should not be left without a mentor. The remaining students should be gathered in the communal area to ensure safety.
