Joel comes to ADT with Candy in his lunch box. What do you do?
If 3 pieces or less you prompt him to eat or throw the candy away immediately. If more than 3 pieces it should be removed and placed in the office and then handed over to staff at the reshab setting once Joel gets home.
We use this technique when there are multiple people in the environment, at least one client is engaging in a negative behavior we want to change, and at least one client is engaging in am appropriate behavior at the same time.

Without others noticing go over to Charles and quietly prompt him so only he can hear the reminder to use his avoidance skills. Provide specific verbal praise when he immediately complies
