Book of Mormon Stories
In 1 Nephi 11, Nephi receives a vision explaining Lehi's vision of the tree of life. In verse 36, it is explained that the great and spacious building from that vision (which had no foundation), was representative of this.

Many early church members experienced great trials of faith that sometimes led to them leaving the church, including this man who wrote most of Joseph's dictation of the Book of Mormon. He later rejoined the church shortly before the Saints headed west.

After seeking for the true church of Jesus Christ for much of his young adult life, this president of the church fully embraced the truth when he found it, and later dedicated the Salt Lake Temple in 1893.

During his address to the people of Gideon, Alma the Younger taught that Christ's atonement is not just to cleanse us from our sins, but also to heal us from all the negative effects of mortality, as chronicled in these two verses.

Some time after spending three days in total darkness following His death, the inhabitants of the Americas were visited by Jesus Christ himself, the Light of the World, beginning in this chapter.

In his conversation with Nicodemus, Christ taught that unless a man is born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter God's kingdom, as found in this verse.

Truly courageous sisters Mary Elizabeth and Caroline Rollins saved several pages worth of sacred revelations from being burned by mobsters by grabbing them, and hiding in one of these.

This man may have served the shortest time as prophet, only about 9 months, but he was nevertheless beloved, and great concern was felt when he fell over backwards in the middle of a conference address.

Talk about desire! When praying to God for a testimony in Alma 22:18, King Lamoni's father says he will give up this to know God.

In Luke 24, Christ's disciples were unsure if it was truly the resurrected Lord before them, so Christ asked for them to bring him food. They brought these two things.

When the Lord wanted the church to begin singing as part of our praise to Him, he directed Emma Smith to compile the first hymn book in the revelation now known as this section of the Doctrine and Covenants.
Section 25.
The final President of the Church to be born outside of Utah or Idaho, this man received a glorious vision on the redemption of the dead, now recorded in section 138 of the Doctrine and Covenants.
