first stage of observation
What is using the primary senses of seeing, hearing, touching and smelling?

What is surveillance equipment?
physical pain, odd movement, or unresponsiveness, screaming, crying, weigh loss or severe cough
What are signs and symptoms of distress or need?
the amount of time a DR must be written from when the incident is discovered
What is 24 hours?
These counts are done randomly by the supervisor of inmates who are on site or offsite
What is informal count?
Valid photo ID for visitation
What is government issued ID, driver's license, ID card, military ID, agency issued ID or passport?
gather in particular area, store food, become more violent with each other, warn staff to stay home on particular days
What are signs of a potential disturbance?
Staff, friends, family members, or other inmates
Who are people that may report strange inmate behavior?

What is information that goes on a Corrective Consultation?
conducted when unusual events arise, such as a possible escape, a disturbance, an evacuation, or when count is not confirmed
What is emergency count?
are visits in which both the visitor and the inmate are in the same room
