This ayah tells us who the __1__ believers are, those who believe in Allah and His Messenger never __2__, and __3__ in Allah s.w.t path, giving their money  and life just to seek His pleasure. This shows that you are not a true believer just by saying it, it must be reflected in your actions, unlike some of the  __4__ at the time. Critical thinking

Give 3 points from aya three?

Answer:

1. This ayah tells us that those who lowered their voice when Muhammed (S.A.W) was nearby would be defined as those with righteous hearts. Those with righteous hearts will be granted forgiveness and a big reward.

2.To break this up, if you lowered your voice in Muhammed’s presence, it is a major sign you have Taqwa.

3.For example, one day a harsh man was calling for Muhammed (S.A.W) to meet him in a loud tone. He wakes up and disturbes Muhammed (S.A.W) as a result. This shows that being harsh and disrespectful is the opposite of Taqwa.

4.Umar Ibn Khattab was asked if a man who does not have a desire to sin and does not commit the sin is better than a man who has the desire and does not commit the sin. Umar replies and says that the man who has the desire and does not commit it is better. This shows that restrain is a very good thing and you can also be forgiven and given higher rewards for that.

200

What is the story behind the fourth ayah and what can we learn from this?

Answer:

One of the Bedouins called to the Prophet (S.A.W.) in a disrespectful tone while he was sleeping. The man was from a harsh background, so he wasn’t the type to have manners. We can learn

200

What should we do if we see two Muslims fighting?

Answer:

 Try and stop it

200

What are three points from ayah 11? (if you can name 5 points you can give extra credit points of 200). The other team can only steal if they dont talk at all.

Answer:

1. It means that calling others with bad nicknames is a sinful act. The real bad name for a person after embracing Faith is that he is known among people for sinful acts.

2. Therefore, if a Muslim commits the sin of calling others with bad nicknames, and it is known among people, then the real bad name is earned by himself, and not by the person whom he has abused with that nickname.

3. Allah uses three different words that mean to insult.

4. There is a general rule mentioned at the beginning, but Allah then emphasizing the point to a specific group, the women.

5. Ourselves is mentioned because if someone were to be made fun of, they would reciprocate and make fun of the insulter.

Give me 3 points form ayah 13?

Answer:

1. Allah is telling us that all of our origin is the same and he is our one creator. We’ve all been made from the same substance.

2.It is natural that we are divided in different nations and tribes. We have different cultures, races, and families. This does not mean one is better than the other. These two phrases are denying racism, where Allah is telling us that no color is better than the other and superiority only comes in who is more righteous in Allah’s eyes.  2وَجَعَلْنَـٰكُمْ شُعُوبًۭا وَقَبَآئِلَ1 ...إِنَّ أَكْرَمَكُمْ عِندَ ٱللَّهِ أَتْقَىٰكُمْ ۚ . No race, tribe, nation is better than the other.

3.The only basis of superiority between man and man is that of moral excellence, which is decided by Allah. The prophet mentioned racial justice 1400 years before any leaders, philosophers, politicians could ever promote it

Being guided to the Islamic faith and embracing it are great Divine Factors upon man since Allah does not need our _____ 300 points

Answer:

Worship

300

What does Islam say about racism? What was the first act of racism and the punishment for it?

Answer:

The very first act of racism recorded in history was between Iblis (Shaitan)  and the prophet Adam (AS).

When Allah (SWT) asked him (Iblis) to bow down to prophet Adam, he denied claiming that he is superior to Adam as he (Iblis) is made of fire while Adam (as) is made of clay.

The punishment for his arrogance Allah banished Iblis from heaven and condemned him to hell. This shows that racism of any type is not tolerated in Islam from the very start; our scholars believe that any act of bigotry has a satanic basis, and it is highly punishable.

What does Islam say about seeking justice? (Extra 100 points if you can guess what surah this ayah is from: “Allah commands justice and fair dealing…”)

Answer:

The Quran shows that it is one of the most concentrated themes in Islam. Allah SWT commands His people to always remain just and fair even when dealing with one’s enemy. Allah in the Quran has commanded many times that we as believers should be acting justly in all matters and that fair dealings should be our main priority. Explain the etiquette when being in the presence of the Holy Prophet. Since he is not with us, how can we still show etiquette?

Answer:

The etiquette of being in the presence of the Holy Prophet has been laid out in the Quran. We are not supposed to treat him like a common man or someone of equal rank. The voice of a common man should not be raised in front of him and he should be given the utmost respect that he deserves. In the present times, where believers do not have the opportunity to be in his presence, the same level of respect should be granted to the sayings and Messages of our Holy Prophet. One should never go against his sunnah and when his name is mentioned in front of us, we are bound to show deep reverence and love. We should also say peace be upon him when we hear his name.
