Because they wanted to protect their iman (faith) and stay away from idol worship. They chose to obey Allah instead of following their people who disbelieved, even if it meant giving up everything.
What should have the rich man said when he entered his garden in order for it to have been spared?
He should have said MashALLAH, and thanked his Lord!
What was the wisdom behind killing the boy?
He would grow up to be a disbeliever and would cause much trouble to his parents, so he would be replaced with a more loving and believing child!
Will Yajuj and Majuj ever break free?
Yes! But only once their leader says InshALLAH! And this will happen near the day of judgement!
