This grade level grew plants from seeds and measured their growth to help students see not only how to use measurement, but the different parts of the plants at various stages.

Sycamore celebrates a STEM night each year to help to bring students and family together for fun interactive participation in the engineering and design process. This year it was given this special name because we connected it with literacy.

This grade level had students investigate flooding in the area and construct levees from various STEM closet materials.

Each year a team for this competition meets weekly to build and program a robot through complex tasks. The team also creates a solution to a problem that they determine in their community.

These resources located on the ECOMM science site provides teachers with questioning, and investigation templates to help with showing proof of acquisition of AKS.

This plant that grows closet to the turn in the sidewalk at the top of the hill, attracts the most pollinators.

This county professional development in July is to help prep teachers for science in the upcoming 2021-2022 school year. Teachers can pick from two dates.

This grade level made weather tools, and monitored the weather data for a month.
What is 4th grade?
This club was present for many years, and run by Ms. Carlan. Students collected water bottles, and helped with our two gardens.
What was the Sycamore Environmental Club?
This year-round environmental education and action organization supported at the county level works to reward schools that contribute to their community and foster learning of nature by hands on activities within the classroom.
