If you are a student who is willing to pursue his/her college career in sports, this is where you would go.

It is strongly recommended that you submit this college application in the month of November.

This application costs $65 to apply 6 schools
What is the CUNY application?
The act of pursuing educational opportunities in a country other than one's own. This can take place during academic year breaks, per semester, and/or for the year.
What is Study Abroad
This is seen on the FAFSA confirmation page and refers to how much you and your family can be asked to contribute to your Cost of Attendance for the year.
What is the Expected Family Contribution - EFC
This is a building/residence or place where students can live when they go to college.
What are college "dorms?"
This financial aid application is available October 1st. You must file the FAFSA first, in order to apply.
What is the NYS TAP?
These types of school only offer an associate degree. In some cases, they may also offer certificates.
What are Community colleges/2 Year Colleges?
This program provides part time jobs for undergraduate and graduate students with financial need, allowing them to earn money.
What's work-study
This application is only to be completed if required. Mainly for PRIVATE schools.
What is the CSS Profile?
This department organizes career fair, job readiness, interviews preparation, networking events, and resume workshop.
What is Career Services/Center?
This is the day students make their final decisions about what schools they will be attending in the fall.
What is May 1st/College commitment day?
This is the term used when schools or universities are not requiring SATs for admission.
What is "test-optional"/SAT-Optional?
These are other activities you can do other than your classes, such as playing a sport, being part of club, and etc.
What are "extracurricular activities?"
This Financial aid application is for New York State residents and who are attending post secondary educational institution in New York.
What is the TAP application? (Tuition Assistance Program).
This program is designed to provide academic and financial support to students from low-income and historically disadvantaged background.
What are opportunity programs? (CD/SEEK/EOP/HEOP).
This is a binding agreement between you and a college in which you agree that you WILL attend that college should they offer you admission.
What is Early Decision?
This is an important piece of the college application process and an opportunity for you to tell a little bit more about yourself and why you are a good candidate.
What is a personal statement/college essay?
A warning that the student's performance falls below the institution's requirement for good academic standing, usually a 2.0. This term means that a student's grades and/or GPA are not high enough to continue in school if their grades or GPA doesn't improve.
What is academic probation
Free Application for Federal Student Aid. It is a form required from all students seeking financial aid. This form collects family income and other financial aid information and is completed and filed by the student or his/her family.
What is FAFSA?
This refers to the number of students who attend a school or university divided by the number of teachers in the institution.
What is student-faculty ratio?
You should complete & SUBMIT all applications by this Date.
What is December 25th?
This application is used mainly for private colleges and consist of one application that can be sent to several schools. Each college also has their own cost for application and the fee can be cover by a fee waver.
