Vowel teams can be predictable, or not. We have looked at predictable vowel teams. What makes them easier to read and spell?
Place and sound: they can be found, predictably in the same place in their syllable, for example /ay/ is always at the end of a syllable, while /ai/ is always in the middle! Also, they always say the same sound.
