What is the number one rule?
I have the right to teach and you have the right to learn. I will treat you all with respect, courtesy and kindness, and I expect the same in return.
What do I mean when I say "USE COMMON SENSE"?
Before you act, ask yourself, “Will this be disruptive?”

Please return any borrowed materials back to their original location.

What do I consider cheating?
When you copy someone else’s homework assignment, or “borrow” answers from a neighbor during a quiz or test, I consider that cheating
What is the tardy policy?
If you are not in your seat when the bell rings, you are tardy!
What is the Cell Phone Policy?
Cell phones must be turned off and stored during the day. Cell phones will be confiscated if they are heard or are visible.
How should you leave the classroom?
Collect any materials or trash that may be on the floor. Even if it is not a part of “your mess” please help keep our classroom clean!
What percentage is considered an F?
59% and below
When I tell you to collaborate what does that mean?
Work together and come up with individual answers.
When will consequences begin for tardies?
Consequences will begin if you are tardy more than three times to periods 2-6.
What is the expectation for Bathroom Breaks?
Please wait for an appropriate time, ask permission. You will be given three bathroom passes a semester (AND ONLY THREE) use them wisely.
I will always give you enough time to pack up your belongings and get to your next class on time.

What should you bring to class everyday?
A fully charged Chromebook.
When is it okay to talk in class?
When you talk, I listen. I expect the same respect from you. This includes listening when your classmates are talking, as well. Writing and reading time should be done individually, in silence, unless I say otherwise.
What happens if you pack up early?
If you start to pack up early, however, and I have to stop my instruction, you may end up being tardy as I’ll need extra time to finish my lesson.
What does it mean when there is a blank score in the gradebook?
It has not been entered yet.
What is the first consequence for Plagiarism?
Instructor administers discipline, parents contacted, Saturday School assigned and a failing grade for the assignment/test.
How should you ask questions?
Raise hand and wait. Do NOT bombard me with questions.
What type of questions or comments are acceptable in class?
On topic questions and comments are welcomed, but please raise your hand and wait to be called upon.
If you have questions at the end of a lesson, what should you do?
If you are confused about an assignment, please set up a time we can meet to discuss it. I will not be able to tutor you or answer any in-depth questions between class, as I have another class to teach and you have another to attend.
How long can you expect to wait for an Essay to be graded?
2 weeks
What is the second offense for cheating?
5 day suspension.
