Be on time!! Be on time to class, be on time dressing out, and be on time to rehearsals and performances.

Why do you need to get the social media release signed?
So we can post pictures and/or videos of the dancers/dances in class or during the concert at the end of the semester.
Why is participation the 2nd highest grading percentage?
It includes everything we do in class everyday.

Stealing someone else's choreography and claiming it is your own. This includes tiktok dances.
What is the criteria for Falcon prep?
Students who make below a certain grade on their test/assessments will have to be assigned to two days of Falcon prep.
What assignment type is missing?
Dance history, dance vocabulary, worksheets, check ins, bell ringers, exit tickets.

No, unless you have a doctor's note.
What will happen if you refuse to comply to the North Carolina State Law (HB959SL) about cell phones?
Phone will be confiscated from the student and sent to the front office. Office referral written. Your parents will be contacted and have a specific time in the day when they can pick up the phone.
Proper dance attire, a devices that's not a phone, a water bottle, a positive attitude?
A device. All devices are now provided solely by the school. No more ipads, laptops, tablets. Just chromebooks.

Behave out- major office referral, parent contact, student sent to SMC, and all daily participation points will be deducted.

You are expected to dance everyday and you are expected to perform on stage at the dance concert.
How does your weekly participation grade get calculated?
All of your daily grades are added up to create your weekly participation grade.
How much time of class is designated to attire?
10 minutes. 5 minutes to dress into dance clothes and 5 minutes to dress out of dance clothes.
When absent what should you consider doing to catch up on work? What is expected of you, if you miss class?
Attend a RISE session to catch up on work. You still need to turn in any and all missing assignments.
No Phone No Cone, Must have a specific colored cone in order to get into specific bathrooms, if you take longer than 8 minutes to use the bathroom you will be written up for skipping, and you cannot use the bathroom during the first and last 15 minutes of class.
