NO in the gradebook. No credit for it, the same as it being missing.

The next day in class.

What is the point of doing daily/formative work?
To practice, learn & get feedback.
You are in 3rd hour chemistry and tell your friend who is in 4th hour chemistry one of the questions on the test you just took. Is it cheating?
Yes! Test questions must remain confidential. Sharing the contents of a summative assessment is considered cheating.

When would she respond to that email?
The next day after 8 am when she arrives at school. Occasionally she will take care of emails before school.
Where can you find extra handouts from days you were absent?
Look in the bin with folders on the front desk. Assignments are lettered.
1.1.D means Unit 1, Assignment A You should look in folder D.
I clean out the folders at the end of each unit.

Where should I turn in late work or work from an absence?
Trick Question: If it's late formative work. I don't want it. We will turn in formative work with the sole purpose of feedback from me. If it not turned in on time, key the key in Google Classroom.
What is the difference between a 3 and a 4 on our grading scale?
3 is proficient understanding of the standard (87.5%)
4 is beyond proficient; could be used as an example (100%)
You are having a hard time finishing an assignment at home. You text your friend and she sends you pictures of her completed assignment. You fill in what you didn’t have done with her work. Is it cheating?
Yes technically. However, formative work does not count for points, so you might as well just try your best! There are more dignified/honest ways of getting help on a tricky assignment.
What happens if your phone is not in the phone hotel by the time i am starting class.
BAT will be called and your phone will be confiscated by security. You will not get it back until the end of the day... so gone for a class or gone all day? Your choice.
Not exactly spelled out in syllabus but…You have a plan to meet Ms. Tibbs for lunch. You show up right away and Ms. Tibbs is not in the classroom. What should you do?
Do NOT just bail immediately. Wait a few minutes for her to show up or walk across the hall to her office (Rm 3106) and politely knock on the door.
What should you do if you know you’re going to miss chemistry but will be in the building for other classes that day?
You should try to stop in and chat with Ms. Tibbs & grab any handouts so that you’re not behind, if at all possible.
What is the difference between M, NO, and IE indicators in Infinite Campus?
All calculate as 50%
M= missing. Can still complete
NO= No further opportunities for completion
IE= Incomplete evidence. Not enough information or response to justify a grade
You finish a lab assignment and the next day you have a lab quiz. You talk to someone who took it the hour before you to see what was on it?
Is it Cheating?
Yes x10000. Have some dignity, please!
What are the hall pass rules for this class?
No pass use in first or last 10 minutes of class (school rule)
Be gone 5 minutes or less.
