Preparedness, Respectful, Integrity, Determination, and Excellence are from this acronym.
P.R.I.D.E. or PRIDE
The student is at his/her desk with paper/notebook, pencil, and calculator.
What is Class Ready?
This will be given if expectations are not followed the first time.
What is a Verbal Warning?
30% is the percentage for this type of assignment(s)/assessment(s).
What is Quizzes/Simple Assignments?
This extra credit is given for various reasons throughout the class period, i.e. turning in phones into storage pocket.
What is a PRIDE Buck?
Respecting your classmates and asking questions are these 2 expectations.
When answering a question, this is at the teacher's discretion.
What is call outs?
Student will be asked to do this if a verbal warning and a redirection has occurred. It's for 2 min.
What is Refocus?
If any assignment is not to my level of this, it will be returned for student to complete/redo.
what is Proficiency?
Students can add PRIDE Bucks to this at a max of 100%.
What is Homework/Classwork?
Doing your best and being yourself are these 2 expectations.
What are Determination and Excellence?
Teacher will give ok to do this when its 3 min until end of class.
What is pack up?
If behavior continues after a refocus, this will be given before a call to parents or office.
What is a Discipline Assignment?
If absent, Lessons can be found in this upon students return.
What is Make-up folder?
Except Pop quizzes, quizzes can be this kind of process if it's not 70% or higher.
What is re-taken?
This device is either turned in or put away when class begins.
What is Electronic? or What is Cell Phone?
Student must do this if they need to leave the classroom.
What is sign out?
If behavior becomes too disruptive or unsafe, parent are called or this will happen.
What is a referral?
This is a way for students to easily communicate with Ms. K besides email. Student can find updates, resources, and assignments.
What is Microsoft TEAMS? or What is TEAMS?
Quizzes are, Tests are not.
What is open note?
Ms. K said this is not a requirement, but that we will eventually need it, i.e. notebook and 3-prong folder.
What is Supplies?
Ms. K mentioned Starbucks Day (if she didn't, it's ok) but this is allowed while working on this day.
What is phone/music?
If the class gets a little too loud, Ms. K uses this to tell students. Hint: it's on her computer.
What is Doorbell?
Ms. K has mentioned that as long as the student does this, she is willing to be fair with the student.
What is Communicate?
Ms. K mentioned HW is not assigned, but this will be done on Fridays when work is due.
