Jamie and Amie are both runners. Jamie runs at 4mph and got a 4 mile head start over Amie who runs at 5mph. At what mile will they meet and how much time would have passed(distance=x,time=y)? Write your answer as an ordered pair.
They meet at 20 miles and 4 hours would have passed. (20,4) is an acceptable answer.
Kelton Bragg and Jackson Heller are both hungry. Jackson can eat 3 cupcakes a minute Kelton can eat 5 per minute. If Jackson starts eating his cupcakes 2 minutes before Kelton, after how many minutes after *Jackson ate 2 minutes worth of cupcakes*, will they both have eaten the same number of cupcakes(number of cupcakes=x, minutes after=y)
Since jackson started eating before Kelton for 2 minutes, he would already have 6 cupcakes inside his stomach. After 3 more minutes of eating, they would have both eaten a total of 15 cupcakes.
At a local hardware store, there are 2 robots that build car wheels. Robot 1 creates 3 wheels every 2 minutes and Robot 2 creates 2 wheels every 3 minutes. If robot 2 already built 5 wheels, then when will they have built the same number of wheels? (x=wheels, y=time)
After 6 minutes, both robots would have made 9 wheels. Robot 2 works very slowly, smh. (9,6) is a valid answer.
Sheena has a massive buisness. Her buisness gets her $500 per hour. Kazuki has a job as a McDonalds Marketing official and his job gets him $100 per hour.
