TAY Academy
This series of classes/workshops are designed to help individuals take charge of their recovery by making a plan to prepare for a crisis, or avoid it altogether. It was written by Mary Ellen Copeland and is widely used in clubhouses around San Diego County.

San Diego Central Library
This is a 76-hour educational course designed to prepare students for peer employment opportunities in the workforce. Each student that graduates will be certified by the State of Arizona for employment as a Peer Support Specialist. It is provided by RI International.
Peer Employment Training (PET)
This is the only TAY-specific clubhouse in the County of San Diego and offers free services to TAY, like employment assistance, independent living skills, volunteering opportunities, and fun outings.
Oasis Clubhouse
11-month transitional housing program for TAY where they live in ILF's and foster job skills while making soap products.
8 West
This program offers services to the homeless population in San Diego, like showers, lockers, and legal aid, among other services. Their mission is to inspire, empower, and organize our community to advance basic dignity for those living on the streets.
Think Dignity
This is a City of San Park & Recreation program that provides sports, recreation, leisure and outreach services to people with physical, mental and emotional disabilities. They organize a softball league for mental health organizations during spring. They also host an annual luncheon at the Balboa Park Club venue.
Therapeutic Recreation Services (TRS)
This is an MHS program that is funded by that Department of Rehabilitation that offers vocational readiness training, job placement assistance, and other employment support. It's located in Linda Vista and the address is 1202 Morena Blvd. #201, San Diego, CA 92110.
San Diego Employment Services
This is a San Diego Youth Services transitional living program for youth ages 18-24 who are former foster care youth. Services include 18 months of low-income housing, case management, counseling, among other services.

Prevention/early intervention program for youth (ages 10 - 25) experiencing early signs of psychosis.
Kickstart
This NAMI program aims to connect individuals who live with mental illness with "Companions," or individuals who are living well in their mental health recovery, family members who have loved ones living with mental health challenges, or Mental Health champions who share a passion for the Mental Health field.
Side by Side Peer Companion Program
This organization has career centers throughout the County of San Diego, facilitates workshops for jobseekers, organizes conferences for workforce development, gather workforce data, and other initiatives. They have programs like TechHire, CONNECT2Careers, among others.

Just in Time for Foster Youth
This is a Pathways by Molina Assertive Community Treatment (ACT) program. This program offers full service partnership services to TAY ages 16 - 25 with a serious mental illness, and who are homeless or at risk of becoming homeless in San Diego County.
Catalyst
This organization focuses on providing substance use disorders (SUD) services throughout San Diego County. Their programs include multiple teen recovery centers, SAFE housing, and adult residential programs, among others.
McAlister Institute
This is a NAMI and OSHPD program that aims to prepare people with lived experience and family members of people with lived experience for employment positions as peer specialists. The training is also available online through a webinar.
Peer/Family Support Specialist (PFSS) Training
This center is an urgent walk-in center that provides integrated, coordinated crisis services for adults for adults 18 and older who have serious mental illness, as well as individuals with co-occurring mental health and substance disorders. The walk-in hours are 10 AM - 4 PM, Monday - Friday.
Jane Westin Center
This CRF wellness recovery center works with participants in the South region of San Diego County and provides psychosocial rehabilitation with a multidisciplinary team of therapists, nurses, among other professionals. They have a TAY-targeted program for youth ages 18 - 25.
Maria Sardiñas Wellness & Recovery Center
This Family Health Centers of San Diego program is located near San Diego City College and serves as a safe and confidential space for 12 - 24 year olds to get information, resources, and medical care. Services include medical exams, birth control methods & free condoms, pregnancy testing and emergency contraceptive pill, among other services.
Teen Health Center
This program was founded in 2017 by a group of motivated volunteers who saw the pattern of youth homelessness in San Diego and wanted to break it. Their services include meals, mentoring, clothing, bus passes, among other services.
Youth Assistance Coalition (YAC)
This educational program is part of the San Diego Community College District (SDCCD) and serves adults looking to get back into education for their high school equivalency and/or a trade like business, automotive, or child development, among others.
San Diego Continuing Education (SDCE)
This program is the first drop-in and recreational center in San Diego County dedicated to the needs of lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, questioning and HIV+ (LGBTQ+) youth. It's located in Hillcrest. They also have the Sunburst Youth Housing Project which provides safe and supportive housing for San Diego’s homeless youth, including LBGT and HIV-positive youth.
