You get a ticket saying all the Advanced Analytic Widgets are erroring out. How do you approach this problem?

1. Look at documentation. Were there recent tickets to update Imagery Statements? 

2. Do all the fields have recode values?

3. Rebuild a widget on a new page

4. Could a statwing refresh be needed?

A SPOC submits a ticket saying the client wants to update some question text. They mention it should be really quick. They are wanting to change the way they refer to their category: 

Intimates > Lounge wear

1. Let them know this will break trend as this is a completely different category.

2. Are there translations? This will affect multiple questions.

The client requests a filter be added to their dashboard to cut by zip code. 

1. Understand what the client is trying to achieve with a zip code filter.

2. Can you suggest something that is less...insane?

3. Can we program a regional ED field? Are we capturing state? 

4. Be mindful of base sizes. Cutting by zipcode is bound to have VERY small base sizes which would yield very volatile data.

The most recent wave of data is not showing up in the dashboard. 

1. Check filters on the dashboard. Is there a clean variable? Is there a locked filter for date?

2. Look at how the date variable is assigned in the survey. Is it assigned properly?

3. Are we hiding data from certain widgets (locked filters, customize data visualization)

The client, Walmart, would like to add a new brand to their survey. 

Their new exclusively for kids store, Walmart Jr

and a competitor, Kroger, is dropping the r and rebranding as Kroge. 


1. Walmart JR is a substring of Walmart. We will need to add HTML brackets to ensure proper stacking.

2. We will want to make note of every place you update Kroge throughout the survey and update it.

3. Make sure to check variable naming to ensure proper stacking of the bracket brands

A ticket is submitted to investigate a trending widget that is no longer rendering. 

1. Guarantee the widget is hitting cardinality

2. Determine what is the longest time frame that renders data

3. Communicate and ask the client what would be sufficient for their analysis. You can build out a CrossTabs to show trend across all time periods but only show the past 3 years of data in the dashboard.

Unaided awareness widgets have broken in the dashboard. The client is a legacy client and are using TextiQ!

1. How are they tagging unaided awareness? 

2. Where is TextiQ set-up?

3. If its dashboard side, did they copy the dashboard?

A ticket is submitted for a banking client. They want to add in a new income question. They note that we should terminate anyone who makes less than 75k. The QNR has this question in the demographics section

1. Does it make sense to have a screener in the demo section? 

2. Does this affect overall feasibility of the sample?

3. Does this affect quotas?

The client has a number of open end questions they would like to see in the dashboard.

1. SOW usually only covers coding for one unaided question so usually coding things for them is out of scope!

2. There are two widgets: Response Ticker and Word Cloud.

3. Response Ticker will show the OE's and is broken out usually by response ID or other identifiers. This is useful if the OE is for a sentence 

4. Word Clouds are good if respondents are asked to give a word to describe or even for uncoded unaided. The bigger the word, the more mentions which is why this works nicer with one-word open ends.

A new brand was added a few waves ago but the client mentioned there are no responses for that brand in a handful of widgets. This is suspicious because the new brand is well known. 

1. Are there responses for the brand in D&A?

2. Are the recode values in these questions correct?

3. Are there brand stacking errors?

A ticket is submitted for a client who is wanting to completely revamp their imagery section. 

1. Does the client have translations? Do not just copy + paste the format without editing the translations.

2. What are the impacts in the survey? Are they adding a lot of new imagery statements? Does this have affect on LOI?

3. What are the dashboard implications? 

- AA Widgets, Attribute Page, filters?

You were asked to program a new advertising module

Building a whole new dashboard page is out of scope for Signature Support. You will want to have brought this up prior to programming the entire module. 

You should ask what is the most important metric to visualize for the client. Instead of building out a full page is there another page that makes sense?

The PM is trying to add in a clean variable to the survey flow but its not flowing into the dashboard. 

If the variable is showing up in the D&A, there is likely something stopping the variable from flowing to the BTDS. Look at Expert Review, BPMT portal and ensure no stacking issues.

The UAT log has a number of changes but when you check the QNR you notice that there are a few extra items highlighted in green. 

Never assume that you need to make those changes nor assume you do NOT need to make those updates. Reach out to the project team and be very specific.


Which questions were not notated?

You just added a bunch of new punches to various questions, a couple of new questions and updated question text.

Do you need to recode these punches in the dashboard? Locate filters and widgets that pull from these questions -- are numbers showing instead of the punches? Needs a recode.

Map in the new questions! Does the program leverage question labels? If not, you may need to map in the new question
