Will this FI transition change my current services?
No. As a result of this transition, you may be changing FIs, but your services under the program continue as is.
Can family members serve as personal assistants?
Yes, you can hire family members, but there are some rules. Spouses cannot be paid personal assistants, and parents cannot be paid caregivers for their children under 21 years old. Full information on the requirements of the program established by New York State can be found here: Consumer Directed Personal Assistance Program (CDPAP)
What hours will you be open?
Our phone lines will be open Monday – Saturday, from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. Eastern Time. Our local office hours will vary, but we will be able to share them soon.
When should you use reply vs reply all?
Reply is used with a single recipient and reply all is used when there are multiple emails cc’d

Where do I go to get the transition documents completed?
You can complete transition documents through our online portal, by phone, or in person with an appointment. If you’d like an in-person appointment, please let us know, and we can help you set that up at a location near you.
Who pays for CDPAP? What are the costs?
Medicaid covers the costs of CDPAP, so there’s no fee to participate.

What is time 4 care app?
App used for community and home-based services to track their time.
I can access my fund daily. It’s a law. Will I be able to do that with PPL?
Yes, we offer an earned wage access option so you can access your pay daily.
Can a PA use their Taxpayer Identification Number (TIN) instead of a Social Security Number (SSN) when completing required forms?
If you’re a Personal Assistant (PA) in the Consumer Directed Personal Assistance Program (CDPAP) and don’t have a Social Security Number (SSN), you can use your Taxpayer Identification Number (TIN) instead on required forms, including tax-related documentation. Please ensure that the TIN is valid and that all forms are completed accurately.
When will PPL start paying me?
Payments from PPL will depend on when a consumer and personal assistant complete them
transition to PPL. All transitions must be completed by March 28, 2025. Once complete, I will inform you of your first service authorization and payroll dates with PPL.

How can an out-of-state company manage CDPAP services?
PPL will operate the CDPAP contract out of New York. We are opening eight offices across the state and hiring more than 1,200 people in New York. Additionally, PPL will move our national company headquarters to the New York area in the coming months. PPL has been working with New York Programs since 2011, and many of our existing PPL team members live in New York and have experience serving New York programs.
How many hours can a PA work in one day? In one month?
During the transition period the PPL team will be providing more details on hour limits, including our overtime policy.
How does someone get services in CDPAP?
If you are already enrolled in Medicaid and qualify for CDPAP services, our customer service center can connect you with the right resources. More information about CDPAP can be found here: https://health.ny.gov/health_care/medicaid/program/lon

How are you going to make sure my case manager knows to send you my auth so my personal assistant gets paid?
We work directly with case managers and service coordinators to ensure all necessary authorizations are up to date in our system. This helps make sure your authorizations are accurate, so there are no delays in your personal assistant’s pay.
What is CDPAP?
CDPAP stands for the Consumer Directed Personal Assistance Program. This is a Medicaid program in New York State that lets people who need home care choose, hire, and manage their own caregivers.
Do you have any other ways to sign in and out? i.e. a call in system or the ability to use paper time sheets?
Yes, a call in option will be available for people who do not have internet available.
