What is the purpose of MFA?
MFA ensures that the person typing in the username and password is the student
Can CCT agents recover a student's meditrek credentials?
Yes, as long as they are issued. If they have not been given credentials, they should contact the Field Experience team.
If a student runs out of TII drafts in their classroom, what options do they have to submit additional drafts?
1. They can reach out to their instructor to reset the draft boxes.
2. The student can go to the Academic Skills Center. They have unlimited drafts in the TII section.
What are the two systems used to check assignments for academic integrity?
1. SafeAssign
2. TurnItIn
Can the student request MFA send them a verification email?
No! The MFA system does not send email verification.
How do students compress or zip a file?
PC: right click on the folder > send to > compressed folder
MAC: right click on the folder, compress [folder name]
What is the Walden student portal username for all students?
All students log in using their email address. Email addresses use the format: firstname.lastname@waldenu.edu. Students with the same name as other students will be given a number in the email address as well (ex. john.doe3@waldenu.edu)
If a student needs to have their MFA reset, what should the CCT agent do?
What hot keys are suggested for students to use to copy and paste their discussion into the discussion thread?
Copy: CTRL + C
Paste: CTRL + V
If a student is going overseas and will not have cellular coverage, what should the CCT agent suggest to the student?
Download and setup the MFA app on their mobile device
Will students have access to their mylabs environment during the course preview period?
No, students will not gain access until the first day of class. If the student does not have access on/after the first day, then CCT can escalate the issue to Frontline.
How often does the student need to reset their password?
Every 90 days
How often are students required to reauthorize their SPSS code?
Once per year in September
Who should a student contact to have an assignment reset?
Their instructor
How often will the student be required to verify their MFA?
Every 2 weeks, unless they use a different computer or clear their web browsers cache and cookies
Where can a student find the download instructions for SPSS?
Through the Walden Center for Research Quality
If a student needs their password reset, what should the CCT agents first step be?
1. Assist the student in using the student portal password self-help tool
2. If the student is unable to use the self-help tool, use Azure to reset the password
Can a student delete an assignment or discussion board post after it's been submitted?
No! If they need the submission removed, they will need to speak to their instructor.
How does a student view their instructor's feedback on an assignment?
The student should go to their gradebook, then select the name of the assignment.
Can the MFA account be permanently disabled?
Almost always, the answer is no. The only exceptions are for students deployed overseas, or students that work in a government prison.
Does CCT support Nvivo installation?
No. If a student needs help installing Nvivo, they should contact the Nvivo help desk. The contact information is located in their syllabus. We also do not provide additional licenses for this product.
If CCT has a student who needs a password reset and the student is not located in azure, how should the CCT agent proceed?
The CCT agent should carefully complete the Inactive Student Form. If any question is inaccurate, Frontline will not create the account.
How does a student access MyDR/Taskstream?
By going into the dissertation classroom, then clicking Launch Web Landing Pages, then click Taskstream.
