Any cosmetic effect including hair, that enhances or changes an actor’s appearance.

Curtains, backdrops, or any structures constructed to transform an empty stage into a suitable background for a play.

Rehearsals to focus on lighting, sound, and effects.
What is a Technical Rehearsal?
This is the kind of meeting an SM will hold usually once a week in anticipation of a production.
What is a Production Meeting?
Manages all props for the production.
What is the Properties Master?
A chart listing all characters, the acts or scenes in which they appear, and all garments and accessories needed.
What is a Costume Plot?
This designer creates a plot that shows a floorplan of the set and how actors will be lit up scene-by-scene
What is a Lighting Designer?
The word that a designer or SM will call when they want the actors to pause whatever they're doing.
