What is technical rehearsal?
The person/people responsible for moving things furniture, scenery, or props on stage.
Who are the stagehands or running crew.
This makes the stage bright or dark. Can be different colors.
What is lighting?
General name for off-stage spaces the audience isn't meant to see
What is backstage?
When it is time to clean up the stage for the last time after a show's final run.
What is "striking the set"?
Proscenium, Thrust and Arena.
What are the three different types of stages?
These are used to make the stage look not like a stage, but the specific location required in the play or scene.
What are sets?
The people who imagine and conceptualize the costumes, scenery, lighting and other items needed to put the show together and fulfill the director's concept.
Who are the designers?
The immediate off-stage spaces on either side of the stage
What are wings?
The person who writes the play.
Who is the playwright?
How actors and crew members know where to go on stage at any given moment
What are Stage Directions/Areas of the Stage?
The audience can hear this.
What are sound effects?
This very organized person is the link between the director and the cast and crew and is in charge during the run of a show.
Who is the stage manger?
The acting space
What is the stage or the deck?
The instructions in a script, that are given to actors and/or technical crew when something needs to happen on stage.
What are cues?
The area of the stage downstage of the main curtain (we have a teeeeeny one here, almost not at all)
What is an apron?
Items that the actors hold in the show, that help them tell their story or create their character.
What are props?
These people help carry out all of the processes required to make a show run, and all of the technical processes happen.
Who is the stage crew?
The room or space from which a show is controlled (or "called" and tech operations mostly happen here, like the running of the light board).

What is a shop?
These are used to help identify the actors in their parts, as well as identify the time period. They can help actors look different and play different parts within the same show.
What are costumes?
This person is in charge of selecting the show, managing the budget, choosing the location and hiring the production team.

The place where the audience sits
