Even if I bought my own laptop/tablet myself, I still have to follow school rules when using it at school because of this reason in the technology agreement.
My school device is a school tool [and as such I agree to follow all school rules associated with my school device regardless of where or when I purchased it.]

When it comes to photos or recordings within the classroom or on the school campus, my family and I agree that we will NOT do the following:

If a student hotspots to their computer to access Instagram, TikTok, WhatsApp or any other social media or messaging platforms, or if they are use a VPN to access sites banned by OA, are they still following the agreement they signed?

The agreement states: I agree not to hack or bypass any hardware or software security implemented by Ocean Academy.
The student agrees to provide their device passwords to teachers/administrators/parents for spot checks of their devices and its contents at any time. If the password is not provided, what will happen and why?
1. The school will reset my password.
2. Why? This is necessary for school safety and to ensure that policies are being followed.

1. I agree not to use headphones on campus unless directed to do so by a teacher within the classroom.
2. Headphones should be stored in school bags or desks at all times when not in use.
3. Headphones are not to be used on campus outside of the classroom.

What should a student's electronic footprint demonstrate and what are the consequences that OA will administer if there is any evidence of bullying when it comes to a student's electronic footprint (hint: be sure to include what conditions would have to be met by the student as part of the consequences)

What happens if a student causes damage to a device belonging to another student?
"I acknowledge that the school cannot be held responsible for any damage to or theft of my device (laptop, tablet or cellphone)." Therefore, the student will take the following measures to ensure its safety (hint: 3 of them):
1. The student who damaged the device will pay for those damages.
2. - store it safely and lock it in the desk or locker or in my schoolbag on my person.

- Devices should be carried in a soft cover while in school bags.
