Why are we given standards/rules as missionaries?
"These missionary standards are approved by the First Presidency and Quorum of the Twelve Apostles. They will help protect you physically, spiritually, and emotionally and help you be the disciple Jesus Christ needs you to become.
If you have questions about a standard, prayerfully ask the Lord to help you understand its importance, and then if needed, ask your companion, your young missionary leaders, or either of your mission leaders for help. Regularly study these standards with your companion and strive to obey them."

- You can call your recent converts through messenger on preparation day.
- Preparation day goes from 8am to 6pm.
- Companions are accountable to each other in keeping missionary standards.

- When on the phone with family, you don't need to be able to hear your companion, just within sight.
- We can listen to music as long as it mentions Jesus Christ.
- Missionaries may not participate in Sealings of any kind in the temple.

Why are you obedient?

God gives commandments for our benefit. They are loving instructions for our happiness and for our physical and spiritual well-being.
- We should plan every second of every day
- We consider all of our friends as we plan the day
- We have to plan from 6:30am-7:00am
