YES

200

Give me 3 examples of self-control

When a teacher claps and asks for level 0 you clap with them and are silent.

Keeping your hands to yourself while in line, at lunch, while playing... ALL THE TIME.

Instead of saying something mean that popped in your head, you stop and don't say the mean thing out loud.

No screaming when it is unnecessary

200
What does it mean to be on-task during snack?

Sitting down, feet under table, eating snack over the table, not talking with food in your mouth, not shouting across to people.

200

Is it okay to be in a bad mood sometimes?

Yes, all humans get in bad moods. That doesn't mean we need to let the bad moods take over. We can share our feelings, explain to people you aren't feeling the best, and try to go about your day fixing your attitude.

200

Is it respectful to mess with people in the bathroom? For example: turning the lights off or peeking at people in the stalls??

NOOOOOOO

It is just mean and frustrating to the people who have had their privacy violated.

200

What are the 2 new rules about the CLC office? This is the room with Ms. Morgan and Ms. Kimberly's desks.

No students are allowed in the office without a staff member. That means you cannot just walk in their without asking or knocking on the door and being let in.

Students should not follow teachers when they are walking in there to grab something or work on something.

300

Does running down the hall show self-control?

NO

300

What does it mean to be on-task during lesson.

Waiting for directions, eye contact with speaker, being patient, participating, working well with others, sharing, having fun

300

What are some ways to get out of a bad attitude?

smile, laugh, play with friends, read a book, take a nap, food, water, ask for help, take some deep breaths

300

Does talking to a friend when the teacher is talking show respect?

NO

300

What should you do when you want to leave the gym to go to the MPR, or go to the bathroom, or leave any room?

ASK A TEACHER/STAFF

400

Why should we have self-control over our words and bodies?

So we don't hurt ourselves or other peoples. If we say mean words then we can hurt peoples feelings. If we aren't careful with our bodies then we can hurt other people's bodies.

400

How can we be on-task in the bathroom?

One at a time, go to the bathroom, wash hands, leave
400

How can we show positive attitudes even if we are doing something you don't enjoy.

Be quiet, if you have nothing nice to say you don't need to say anything at all, try the activity with a partner, ask someone to do it with you
400

Is respect always easy to give?

No, sometimes we may feel that people should earn our respect. That is a very valid way of feeling, however when we are in Terry Redlin and CLC we will try our best to show respect. If you are disrespectful to someone, give an apology.

Explain the difference between a Conference Form and an Action Plan form

A conference form is a paper that notifies parents, CLC staff and supervisors of negative behavior that a student was struggling with.

An Action Plan is a more serious paper that notifies the same people on the same thing. However, this is for a repeated or dangerous behavior, so we must talk to parents seriously. Once you get 2 Action Plans we must set up a meeting with your parents and Ms. Baily to make a behavior plan for you to be successful in CLC. 3 Action plans = 5 day suspension. Another Action plan = kicked out

500

What can you do when you are struggling to control your words or body?

Ask a teacher for a break

Apologize to the people who you have bothered

500

What should you do if you weren't on-task and now you have to finish what you were doing while everyone else has moved on and his playing now?

Accept your consequence because it is based off of your previous actions, do the task then apologize to whoever you need to, move on and try better to be on-task
500

What should you do if you weren't kind to someone because you had a bad attitude?

APOLOGIZE and don't do it again

500

Why is respect important?

Respect is important because it makes everyone feel safe and important. Humans like the feeling of respect, so we should try to make more of it. When you show respect it is easier for people to show respect back to you.

500

Who runs the CLC show?

THE TEACHERS (specifically Ms. Morgan)

NOT THE STUDENTS
