Hide the choices and have Luis explain the answer from memory.

“Science due Friday” is in the planner. Add one entry that says when the work will actually happen.

Eight days before an important audition, Max reserves time to rehearse. Which quadrant fits, and what clue shows it?

Your graded outline has a note: “Keep this for the final project.” Where should it go now?

Keep for Review, in the approved place for returned work.

The teacher has not posted feedback. Which part can Amira control: when it appears or what she does while waiting? Give one action.

She controls her own next move: compare her draft with the directions or ask when to check back.

200

Turn this note into a cue without giving away the answer: “A buffer is time left open for a delay.”

“What could protect the next work block if the first task runs long?”

200

A display needs survey results before anyone can draw its graph. Working backward from display day, what should be scheduled before drawing?

Collect and total the survey responses before graphing them.

200

Sam ignores a pile of optional alerts to help a younger student who is hurt right now. Is this Q1 or Q3? Why?

Q1: the need is both immediate and important.

200

A labeled ruler tray is tucked behind a stack of heavy boxes. Which part needs a fix: place, access or reset?

Access. Move the tray to an approved spot that students can reach.

Rewrite “I’ll do better at Spanish” so another person could check it. Give an outcome, a measure and a target date.

I will name 8 of 10 classroom objects in Spanish without my word list.

After a map self-quiz, Ren copies two missed labels. What should Ren do to learn whether the correction stuck?

Check the correct labels, hide them and place both on a blank map later.

Writing ends at 6:40. The ride leaves at 7:00. The only plan in between is buffer. Writing needs 13 extra minutes. What remains?

Writing ends at 6:53. Seven minutes of buffer remain.

Jae planned 15 minutes of music to relax. Later, autoplay takes 45 minutes meant for sleep. Must both choices be “water” in SOAR’s jar?

No. Chosen recreation can be a pebble; the unplanned extra time is water when it crowds out sleep, a rock.

300

The scissors are easy to find at first. After every lab they are left on different desks. What one routine is missing?

Reset: return the scissors to their designated place after use.

400

The directions say “compare.” You listed facts about both characters but cannot tell what to write next. Ask for help without handing off the work.

“I listed both characters’ traits. Could you show me how to turn one pair into a comparison?”

A quiz is Friday. You have 10 minutes Tuesday and 10 minutes Thursday. Use both retrieval and spacing.

Tuesday: answer from memory and check. Thursday: hide the key and retry misses with one fresh prompt.

400

A rehearsal moves earlier every Wednesday for a month. Name a source to check and a recurring cue for updating your weekly plan.

Check the director’s new schedule. At the Sunday planner check, update rehearsal and move the affected work block.

400

A friend sends a nonessential poll marked “Answer NOW!” during your only work block. Identify the quadrant of the interruption and give a respectful reply.

Q3: it feels urgent but is not important to your present task. “I’ll vote after I finish my outline.”

400

One student cannot find a finished file. Another sees the correct file marked “Draft.” Do they need the same fix?

No. Locate/file the first in its approved place. For the draft, follow the class hand-in process and check the right file was received.

After feedback on an essay, Avery says, “I’m just a bad writer.” Give a more useful way to view the problem, one proactive action, and one specific request for help.

Example: “My reasons need stronger examples.” Avery can revise one paragraph and ask, “I added an example, but I’m not sure it supports my reason. Could you help me check the connection?”

A complete response includes a specific reframe, an action within the student’s control, and a focused request for help.

Casey rereads notes and says, “I know this because it looks familiar.” What should Casey do now, after discovering mistakes, and on another day to check real learning?

Now: close the notes and answer questions or explain from memory. After mistakes: check and correct the missed ideas. Another day: retry without the answers.

This uses retrieval, check-correct-retry, and spacing, rather than familiarity alone.

It is Tuesday. You have 6:20–7:00 before a fixed commitment. Math due tomorrow needs 20 minutes; reading due Friday needs 15. Keep a 10-minute buffer. Make a plan and name the trade-off.

One workable plan is math from 6:20–6:40, reading from 6:40–6:50, and buffer from 6:50–7:00. Schedule the remaining five minutes of reading Wednesday.

The trade-off is moving part of the less-urgent reading while protecting math, the fixed commitment, and buffer time.

On Monday, an important project is due Friday. Kai postpones it all week. By Thursday night, it must be finished immediately. Name its quadrant Monday, its quadrant Thursday, and one action that could have prevented the rush.

Q2—important but not yet urgent. Thursday: Q1—important and urgent.

An earlier, specific work block, such as drafting the opening Monday, could have reduced the last-minute pressure.

You have an unfinished report, graded notes the teacher says to keep, and a completed online assignment still marked “Draft.” Where do the two papers belong, and what must happen to the digital assignment?

The unfinished report belongs in Current Work. The graded notes belong in Keep for Review. Submit the correct digital file using the class’s required process, then check the receipt or submitted status.

Saved or finished is not the same as submitted.
