What if I am having trouble understanding the question?
read the question more than once, pause and think and when in doubt draw it out.
- draw your equal groups, array models, base ten blocks and fractions

How can you decrease stress levels?
Leave the drama behind, take care of problems before you get to school, be prepared, etc.

highlighting tool, x-ing out answer choices, flagging a question to go back to, pen tool to write on screen, and note tool
Do I need the calculator on the EOG?
No, my teacher has taught me all the strategies I need to solve the problems on my EOG
However, I can use one during the calculator active section.
At the end of the test, what should you check before being completely done?
Look at your test answer responses and make sure ALL questions have a star * to show you have responded to all answer choices.
What are the advantages of scoring proficient on the test?
PASSING 3rd GRADE without needing to retest or go to RTA Camp in summer (reading only).

Some questions do not give you a direct answer, what can I do to find the answer?
Use Inferencing, by looking and context clues.
example: The boy grinned ear to ear after hearing he passed his test.
- I can inference that he had a big smile and was happy.
What can I do to show my very best on the EOG?
take my time, answer every choice, go back and review

Reading- reading the passage ( even if it is a lot of reading)
When I am confused on a problem, do I just guess an answer choice?
No, flag the question and come back at the end.
If other people finish before you, what do you do?
Rush to finish. NO! You stay concentrated, you get 4 hours to finish the test. This test measures what you are capable of, not other classmates. SHOW WHAT YOU KNOW!!!!
