This is a day of acknowledgments and good-byes. At the end of the year, the school gathers together and the senior class is led into the assembly by bagpipers. Younger students express their best wishes and good-byes to their big brothers and sisters who will soon graduate. Others who are leaving the school community may also be acknowledged. The dedication of the yearbook is announced.
What is Class Day?
Our school is divided up into 4 of these, specific to grade levels. (i.e. JK-3rd; 4th-5th; 6th-8th; 9th-12th).

Each member of the senior class is assigned as one of these to a Middle or Lower School classroom.
What are Big Sibs?
The Corinthians MX marks the beginning of the school year. As the MX begins, the Parker community hears the familiar sound of bagpipes. The entire school gathers in the auditorium to listen to an excerpt from Corinthians, which tells the community how we are all an important piece of the school.
What is Corinthians MX?
Traditionally printed in blue ink, this year-long calendar lists vacations, holidays, conference days, traditional events, etc. It is distributed to the whole school community in August. It is also available on the FWP website.
What is the Blue Calendar?
Held on school grounds (outdoors if weather permits) in early October and organized by the members of the tenth grade class, this all-school event is the major student body contribution to the school’s scholarship fund. Each County Fair has a theme chosen by tenth graders, and every grade offers a product or service for sale to the school community, advertised in Morning Exercise skits on the Wednesday before the Fair.

During the Winter holiday season the 9th graders decorate these by the cafeteria to help deliver some spirit around this time of year.

This is what we call a “report card” at Parker. They are sent home twice per year. Also, official letter grades do not begin until 7th grade.

Before the December break, a special evening of music is presented to the school community.

Each MS grade gets to go on a three-day trip towards the beginning of the school year. The 6th grade goes to the Indiana Dunes. It’s a great opportunity to get out of Chicago, enjoy nature, and get to know your classmates and teachers.

Students and teachers gather two times a week, Day 3 and Day 7 from 11:00 - 11:40am to listen to offerings from students, faculty, speakers and various performing groups.

This is the term used for your “non-core” classes that you’ll take this year. These include Music, PE, Art, and Drama. You’ll have these 2-3 times per week.

The Atrium is where many 7th & 8th grade classrooms are located. It is also where the counselor office is located for the Middle School. This area is down the hall and up the ramp from Mr. Phayprasert’s office.

What is an iPad?
This term refers to a highlight of the holiday program held before the December recess. The phrase refers to the old English carol, “The Twelve Days of Christmas,” and has long been associated with a dramatic presentation of this song by the senior class. The Senior class performs “The Twelve Days” in a special Morning Ex.
What is Twelve Days?
Each Middle School student is assigned to one of these, which is led by one of their teachers. This is a time and place for students to gather and build community every day.
