Even when you fail, you can choose not to give up, but rather discover your courage, press forward, and rise up. That is the great test of the journey.

What happened to Elder Stevenson's dog?

What gospel principle was he trying to teach us with this story?

His five-year-old son wanted him to look like the 101 Dalmatians, so he painted him with white paint.

Satan, the father of lies and the great deceiver, would have us question things as they really are and either ignore eternal truths or replace them with something that appears more pleasing.

We agreed to leave the security of our first estate and embark on our own great adventure of “there and back again.”

Stephen W. Owen told us a sad story about deer. What was that story and what can we learn from it?

A herd of deer was trapped and faced possible starvation. Some people dumped truckloads of hay around the area hoping it would get them through the winter. Most of the deer were found dead. They had eaten the hay, but it did not nourish them, and they starved to death with their stomachs full.

While we may be going through the motions of spirituality, we need to be fed to conversion. If we are not nourished to conversion, we will die spiritually.

Elder Peter M. Johnson said "read and study the Book of Mormon ______  ____, _______  _____, ________  _____."

every day, every day, every day

300

What did Elder Peter M. Johnson do to help him get through a doctoral program? How did it help?

He decided that if he was going to complete the four-year program, he would finish reading the Book of Mormon each semester.

He recognized the Savior’s declaration that the Holy Ghost would teach him all things and would bring all things to his remembrance. It reaffirmed he was a son of God, reminded him not to compare himself with the others, and gave him confidence in his divine role to succeed.

Sometimes we might feel that we are, like that gong, good enough only to play a minor part in the performance. But let me tell you that your sound is making all the difference.

Elder Rubén V. Alliaud shared his story about how he was "found." What is that story?

While living in Argentina, he was invited to spend time with his uncle in the United States when he was 15. His mother made his uncle promise not to try to convert him. However, he was given a room that contained a large library of books, including 200 copies of the Book of Mormon. 20 of them were in Spanish. He secretly started to read and then decided he needed to pray. He became converted and wanted to be baptized. He was sent home with a note from his uncle that simply said: "I had nothing to do with this."

He was found by the power of the Book of Mormon.

This precious fruit symbolizes the wondrous blessings of the Savior’s incomparable Atonement.

Partaking of the fruit of the tree also symbolizes that we embrace the ordinances and covenants of the restored gospel.

Elder Dale G. Renlund told a story about the Congolese people and the Nzongo Falls. What was that story?

Before their conversion, they worshipped inanimate objects. After conversion, many made a pilgrimage to one of the waterfalls along the Congo River, such as the Nzongo Falls. These converts threw their previously idolized objects into the waterfalls as a symbol to God and others that they had discarded their old traditions and accepted Jesus Christ.

Having lived in West Africa for five years, I saw plenty of examples of people prioritizing the gospel naturally and unashamedly. One such example is the name of a tire repair and wheel balancing business in Ghana. The owner has named it “Thy Will Alignment.”

Elder Terence M. Vinson

Who used this image in their talk? What did the cheetahs do? What are the 3 things we learn from them?

Elder David A. Bednar

While one cheetah sat upright in the grass and did not move, the other cheetah crouched low to the ground and slowly crept closer to the topis. Then the cheetah that had been sitting upright disappeared in the grass at exactly the same moment that the other cheetah sat upright.

1. We need to be aware of beguiling bad that pretends to be good.

2. Stay Awake and Be Alert.

3. Understand the Intent of the Enemy.
