The septuagint is the original Greek translation of the Old Testament. The septuagint was written decades before Christ after the Greek empire conquered Israel. The Greeks gathered 70 Jewish scholars and put them in seperate rooms and asked them to translate the Hebrew Old Testament to Greek. When they finished, all the copies were identical.
