Difference between Present, ARMS and Hand, SALUTE

What is "Present, ARMS: On ARMS the right hand follows up the gig-line until reaching the corner of the right eyebrow (or glasses/cover). The hand is flat with the thumb untucked, the pinky is pointing at a 45slant towards the ground in a salute. This stays until the command Order, ARMS is called. Hand, SALUTE: this is the same as Present, ARMS but in a 1, 2, cadence the salute is lowered?"

Difference between Left Flank, HARCH and Column Left, HARCH

What is "Left Flank: on MARCH whole flight pivots 90to the left and continues to march forward. Column Left: on MARCH the 1st person furthest left makes an immediate 90to the left and the rest of the column follows, the 2nd person makes a 45takes two steps and then another 45o, the 3rd will take four steps, etc. The flight goes to half-step until the flight is back in line, then Forward, MARCH is called and the flight continues to march forward.
