Moral Life
God gives us these two ways to live the moral life.
What are the "Old Laws" or Ten Commandments and our conscience?
This word is defined as "the lure into acting on the lie that choosing 'evil' is good for us."
What is temptation?
This sin occurs when one turns his/her back totally on God's love.
What is a "mortal sin?" The act must be "gravely evil," must be understood, and must have consent.
This is the First Commandment.
What is "I am the lord your God: you shall not have strange gods before me?"
This is the first precept of the Church.
What is to "Participate in Mass on Sundays and on holy days of obligation, and keep from real work that impedes keeping these days holy."
The Decalogue, revealed law, or Law of Moses is more commonly known as this.
What is the Ten Commandments?

What is "sin"?
This sin weakens one's relationship with God, the Church and those one harms.
What is a "venial sin?" While often referred to as "little sins", these sins are serious and when one does not make a serious effort to avoid them can lead to mortal sins.
These two Commandments are related to your neighbor's wife.
What are the Sixth and Ninth Commandments? The Sixth Commandment is "You shall cont commit adultery." The Ninth Commandment is "You shall not covet your neighbor's wife."
This is the second precept of the Church.
What is "confess serious sins at least once a year."
The new law is also known as this.
What is the Law of the Gospel?
This sin occurs by one deliberately choosing to act in a way known to be contrary to the will of God.
What is "sin of commission?"
These two Commandments are related to your neighbor's stuff.
What are the Seventh and Tenth Commandments? The Seventh Commandment is "You shall not steal." The Tenth Commandment is "You shall not covet your neighbor's goods."
This is the third precept of the Church.

We have a responsibility to form this according to the Law of God.
What is conscience?
This sin is one in which we freely choose not to do what we have a moral responsibility to do and are capable of doing.
What is a "sin of omission?"
This Commandment states "You shall not bear false witness against your neighbor."
What is the "Eighth Commandment?"
This is the the fourth precept of the Church.
What is "fast and fast and abstain on the days established by the Church."
These are the three elements of a moral decision.
What are the act itself, the intention, and circumstances?
A personal sin is one that an individual can commit alone or with others. These sins may result from personal sin and cause a rise to sinful structures within a society.
What are "social sins?"
This is a parent's favorite Commandment.
What is the Fourth Commandment? The Fourth Commandment is to "Honor your mother and father."
This is the fifth the fifth precept of the Church.
What is "provide for the material needs of the Church according to one's ability."
