A peer in your youth group has been spreading hurtful rumors about you behind your back, causing people to look at you differently. Later that month, you find out their family is going through a devastating crisis and they are quietly crying in the hallway. Your friends say, "That’s karma, ignore them." Even though you are deeply stung by what they did, you decide to step away from your friends, buy them a drink, and sit with them in the hallway to comfort them.

Love (ፍቅር)

100

You are leading a volunteer setup at church, and one team member constantly arrives late, loses the supplies, and asks you to re-explain the instructions over and over because they weren't paying attention. You are exhausted, behind schedule, and your blood is boiling. Instead of unleashing a sharp, sarcastic remark or venting your frustration at them in front of the team, you step aside, take a deep breath, and guide them calmly one more time.

Patience / Longsuffering (ትዕግሥት)

100

You are taking a critical final exam, and the teacher steps out of the room. The student next to you has a cheat sheet and angles it perfectly so you can see all the answers. You are currently struggling with a C in the class and desperately need an A to keep your GPA up. No one will ever find out if you look over, but you intentionally turn your head away and take the test based solely on your own honest work.

Goodness (በጎነት)

200

You spent months preparing a beautiful spiritual presentation for a major church youth event. Due to a sudden scheduling error, the coordinators have to cut your slot entirely. Meanwhile, your closest friend's presentation is chosen as the main event, and everyone is praising them. Even though you are deeply disappointed and fighting an internal feeling of bitterness, you choose to step up, help your friend set up their slides, and genuinely cheer them on with a warm smile.

Joy (ደስታ)

200

A new kid joins your school who looks and dresses very differently, and the popular crowd immediately makes him the target of subtle, mocking jokes. One day at lunch, he sits near your table. Standing up for him directly out loud might make you the next target of bullying, but you choose to leave your friends, sit with him openly, introduce yourself, and invite him into your conversation.

Kindness (ቸርነት)

200

You gave your word to a church coordinator that you would lock up and clean the facility after a late Friday night youth program. Right as the program ends, your friends surprise you with tickets to an exclusive concert you’ve wanted to go to all year—but you have to leave right now. The coordinator is busy elsewhere and wouldn't know if you slipped out early, but you honor your commitment to the church and stay behind to finish the job.

Faithfulness (ታማኝነት)

300

A heated argument breaks out in your youth group's group chat regarding who messed up a project. Insults start flying, and two of your closest friends are fiercely attacking each other. Everyone else in the chat is grabbing popcorn, taking sides, and fueling the fire by forwarding the screenshots. You refuse to drop an angry comment; instead, you call both friends privately to lower the tension and help them reconcile offline.

Peace (ሰላም)

300

You are an expert on a specific spiritual topic, and during a youth discussion, a peer loudly and aggressively corrects you in front of the entire room, using incorrect facts to try and make you look foolish or uneducated. You have the perfect comeback to completely tear their argument apart and humiliate them back. Instead, you listen respectfully, speak with a soft tone, and present the correct information without making them feel small.

Gentleness / Humility (የዋህነት)

300

It’s 1:00 AM, and you know you need to wake up early for Holy Liturgy. Your phone screen lights up with an incredibly dramatic, toxic piece of gossip involving people you know, and your entire friend group is staying up to text about it. You feel an overwhelming, addictive urge to dive into the chat and read every single message, but you actively force yourself to turn the phone completely off, put it in another room, and stand up to say your bedtime prayers.

Self-Control (ራስን መግዛት)
